Donor Connection

Give Now

We are grateful for every gift we receive.

Your contributions make opportunities possible for the University and NSU students. Through your philanthropic efforts, you have helped build research labs, funded scientific discoveries, and supported the education of tomorrow’s leaders.

As donations to NSU accumulate, recognition levels advance. Donors have the opportunity to make a pledge and payment over a designated time frame or simply make an outright gift. Previous philanthropic giving to NSU is credited to the respective giving society levels.

Giving Societies

We celebrate annual donors who give as little as $1 a month because small consistent gifts can add up to a larger impact than you might initially thought possible.

As cumulative giving reaches the benchmarks outlined below, members of the Fin Club will grow their collection of exclusive fin pins

  • YELLOW FIN ($1 - $250)
  • RED FIN ($251 - $500)
  • GREEN FIN ($501 - $750)
  • BLUE FIN ($751 - $999)

Donors who give $1,000 - $4,999 for the current fiscal year (NSU's Fiscal Year campaign ends June 30 of each year) are part of NSU’s longest standing giving society, the President’s Associates. (This includes Changing Lives scholarship donors.)

History

A year into his presidency, Abraham S. Fischler, Ed.D. founded the President’s Associates to recognize donors who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more to NSU. Forty-three generous donors made the President’s Associates inaugural roster.

Your gifts support students whose dream it is to attend our nationally-recognized research universityand faculty members whose dream it is to make the world a better place by inspiring young minds, advancing scientific research and expanding outreach initiatives.

Please consider making the annual President’s Associates roster a giving tradition, and renew or make your annual gift of $1,000 - $4,999 by May 1st, in time to join us for the Presidents’ Associates Reception.

Today, NSU continues to fulfill dreams to make better people’s lives and improve our community thanks in no small part to members of NSU’s Fellows Society -- individuals, corporations, and trusts who have made cumulative gifts of $50,000 or more. NSU's Shark Circle honors Fellows whose lifetime giving reaches $1 million or more.

Fellows also are recognized on the Fellows Monument located on Fellows' Way between the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center and the Carl DeSantis Building.

Donors at this level are inducted into the Fellows Society each year during a special ceremony in the Fall.

Scholarship donors also have a unique opportunity to meet recipients at “The Big Thank You” annual luncheon. Scholarships enable deserving students throughout the university to pursue their dreams of undergraduate and graduate degrees.  This financial assistance further ensures NSU’s growth in teaching, research, service, and learning.
