Welcome to the Office of Special Events and Community Partnerships

We are committed to make your time with us - online or at one of our signature events - enjoyable and showcase the outstanding accomplishments of Nova Southeastern University.

The Office of Special Events and Community Partnerships plans and manages special events for the Office of the President and for the Office of Advancement and Community Relations involving university donors, events hosted by the Board of Trustees, groundbreakings, grand openings, naming and dedication events, and selected major university-wide events. These events are designed to stimulate the involvement and interest of an ever-growing support base comprised of students, alumni, donors, friends and community partners.

Community is one of NSU’s eight core values that make community outreach and collaboration a priority through the engagement of students, faculty and staff members. In addition to special events, the Office of Special Events and Community Partnerships serves as the liaison between NSU and its surrounding communities, representing the university in community organizations and activities whose missions are closely aligned with that of the university.

We invite you to explore our signature events.  These featured events represent just a few of the seventy events produced annually by the Office of Special Events and Community Partnerships at Nova Southeastern University.

The Celebration of Excellence (COE) is the signature annual event hosted by NSU President and CEO George L. Hanbury, Ph.D. The COE celebrates one of NSU’s core values community, and offers the opportunity to acknowledge NSU’s contributions as well as special individuals who exemplify community service.
