Interim College of Education Dean Named

NSU President Dr. George Hanbury names Dr. Kim Durham interim dean College of EducationNSU President Dr. George Hanbury has named Dr. Kimberly Durham Interim Dean of the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education.  Dr. Durham is Chair of the Department of Justice and Human Services in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, where she holds a faculty appointment as Professor.  U.S. News & World Report recently recognized NSU’s Department of Justice and Human Services as one of the nation’s premier online Graduate Criminal Justice Programs. Previously, Dr. Durham was Dean of the Institute for the Study of Human Services, Health, and Justice and has served in various executive leadership positions over the course of her 25-year career at NSU including as Executive Dean and Community Liaison at the former Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services. 

Dr. Lynne Schrum will remain with NSU and leverage her expertise as a Professor in the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education, assisting Provost Ralph Rogers and President Dr. Hanbury in special projects for the benefit of the college, including supporting the college in its upcoming NCATE/CAEP reaccreditation, formalizing our partnerships with the Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade school districts, and promoting the Sanford Educational Foundation programs.
