Driving Forward

NSU Donor Connection - February 2017Franklin Roosevelt said “There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.”

NSU, like Roosevelt, reflects relentless pursuit of a vision and exemplifies perpetual motion. The driving force is a cooperative enterprise dedicated to equipping students for the future and, as NSU President Dr. George Hanbury says, “making the world a better place for people to live, and for society, in general, to be better off than they were before those individuals participated.”

Our new year began by celebrating NSU Trustee Rick Case and his wife Rita, and members of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale Board of Governors, Dr. Stanley and Pearl Goodman. Both couples are improving our world through numerous philanthropic endeavors that include this university. We unveiled the "Rick Case Arena" which is a part of the Don Taft University Center. During the Celebration of Excellence, we presented the Goodmans with the 2017 President’s Award of Excellence in Community Service, and we welcomed 12 donors into NSU’s prestigious Shark Circle to express gratitude for their contributions of more than one million dollars each.

We also celebrated NSU’s inclusion in the list for U.S. News and World Report’s "2017 Best Colleges, National Universities Ranking" and many more gifts and achievements as highlighted below.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
